The most difficult job on earth??

MOMS! We are doctors, lawyers, caretakers, maids, chauffeurs, butlers, janitors, nurse practitioners, cooks, social workers, counselors, etc.. Name a job and we have fulfilled the job requirements at some point during motherhood. All self-appointed titles that we carry with pride!

So I ask, “What is the most difficult job on earth?”

An Astronaut? Wikipedia defines astronaut as “a person trained by a human spaceflight program to command, pilot, or serve as a crew member of a spacecraft.”

A physician? Wikipedia defines physician as “a health care provider who practices the profession of medicine, which is concerned with promoting, maintaining or restoring human health through the study, diagnosis, and treatment of disease, injury and other physical and mental impairments”.

A Rocket Scientist (aerospace engineering)? Wikipedia defines aerospace engineering as “dealing with the design, construction, and study of the science behind the forces and physical properties of aircraft, rockets, flying craft, and spacecraft.”

The President of the United States? Wikipedia defines the President as “the head of state and head of government of the United States. The president leads the executive branch of the federal government and is the commander-in-chief of the United States Armed Forces.”

Hmmm. After some thought I would define my position as a mom as follows: A person self-taught through experience that acts as a pilot/crew member of the family navigating through the space rocks of life including patching up wounds, drying up tears and absorbing heartache and pain. In addition, this position has to promote and maintain the human health of her family through shopping for and preparing healthy meals, attending doctor appointments, dentist appointments, emergency room visits, urgicare visits and meetings with teachers. She helps design and construct various building blocks, Lego’s and Tinker Toys coupled with a lesson in engineering while simultaneously acting as commander –in-chief getting everyone where they need to be…..on time….all on a daily basis. No days off. No clocking in or out.

Now I ask this question again…..What is the most difficult job on earth?
